*To undertake the processing of street works notifications, permits and relevant inspections in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA), which places a Network Management Duty (NMD) on Local Traffic Authorities (LTAs), Highways Act 1980 (HA), New Roads &amp; Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), Codes of Practice, National and London Guidelines and relevant Council policies, procedures and standards.

*To check that working methods and traffic management plans proposed by statutory undertakers and other works promoters comply with best practice and will cause the least amount of congestion practicable.

*To attend site meetings to discuss planned working methods and to inspect works on
site to monitor compliance


Experience 

*Extensive knowledge of the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and Network Management Duty (NMD).

*Holds a current accreditation in the Street Works qualifications register, supervisory level, in all sections.

*An accredited HNC or HND or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent relevant to the job recognised by the Engineering Council, UK for registration as an Engineering Technician and a commitment of ongoing, continuous professional development ( CPD).

*To have a full and valid driving licence and have the use of motorised transport for work purposes.
